The HOPE Center and Lumber House True Value will once again partner for the annual Angel Tree program, which begins in mid-November.
The communitywide effort helps ensure children across Dickinson County receive Christmas gifts this holiday season.
Residents can select an angel tag from the tree at Lumber House, shop for the child’s requested gifts, and return the wrapped presents — labeled with the angel’s number — to the store. The HOPE Center then collects the gifts and organizes distribution before Christmas.
“For many families, the Angel Tree gifts are the only ones they receive,” said Cindy Whittington, director of the HOPE Center.
