PEORIA HEIGHTS ( 25News Now ) - Camp Bow Wow held its eighth annual Pup N’ Pints Halloween celebration Sunday outside Pour Bros Taproom in Peoria Heights.
About 50 dogs in costume showed up with their owners. The fundraiser featured a “bone bar” for dogs, a costume contest and raffle prizes.
All proceeds from the event go to the Bear’s Bites Foundation , which provides canine medical grants. Organizers hope to raise $15,000 for the cause.
“People love their dogs, and it’s a wonderful thing that they need help with the bills,” said Cherie Murphy, sales and marketing ,anager at Camp Bow Wow.
The costume contest featured three categories: individual dogs, dynamic duos of dogs and owners, and full-family ensembles. Winners were rewarded with treats.
