In 2019, Druschel became the Yankees' manager of pitch development, a position that didn't exist before he was recruited away from his role as the head pitching coach at the University of Iowa. He stayed in this role that was created especially for him until 2021, when he became the pitching coach of Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. In 2022, he became the assistant pitching coach for the Yankees, and did so through 2024.
