West Aussies have endured one of the wettest winters on record, but a newly-released long-range forecast has promised a very different outlook for spring.
The Bureau of Meteorology have confirmed that spring bring a 50-60 per cent chance of below median rainfall, with a 65 to 70 per cent chance of below median for much of the coastal South West.
“The South West of WA can expect to receive below average rainfall in the spring season,” a spokesperson at the Bureau of Meteorology said.
WA is expected to experience average temperatures for much of the State with 65-80 percent chance of above median temperatures in the North West.
The low rainfall which is forecast for spring is in direct contrast to the rest of the country, which is expected to receive an above average amount of rain.
