FORT WORTH, Texas (KFDA) - The West Texas A&M’s men’s and women’s cross country teams defended their Lone Star Conference championships Saturday in Fort Worth, with both squads earning team titles.
Women’s team captures third straight title
The Lady Buffs not only defended their team title but also saw Sarah Koomson win the individual championship for the second straight year. Koomson finished with a time of 21:04.53.
Naomi Addo finished second, just milliseconds behind Koomson, while Abigail Abugire came in third for bronze. Julie Lafare finished fourth for the Lady Buffs.
Two additional Lady Buffs runners finished in the top 40, with Yvonne Legaretta placing 27th and Lexi Maul finishing 32nd.
