The Edmonton Oilers earned a single point in a comeback effort against the Vancouver Canucks on Sunday, Vancouver without Quinn Hughes.
The Oilers had the better flow of play in the first (shots 13-8), but a turnover and poor line change led directly to the 1-0. A Canucks power play goal made it 2-0 in the second. A Bouchard-to-Draisaitl strike drew the Oilers to within 2-1. But a Vancouver goal with just forty seconds left in the frame made it 3-1.
But it turned back into a nail biter in the third when Jack Roslovic wired his first as an Oiler to make it 3-2. The Draisaitl again on the PP to even it at three and send it to the extra frame where the Canucks won it 4-3.
