The win didn’t come easy, as the Lakers entered the matchup without Luka Doncic. The Lakers initially listed Luka as questionable to play, but he was later ruled out for a week due to finger and leg injuries.

Without Luka and LeBron, Austin Reaves carried the load on his shoulders with a career-high performance on Sunday. His exceptional display on the court drew praise from his teammate LeBron James. In an X post, LeBron shared his excitement after witnessing Reaves’ storm.

“50 piece 🐔 nugget!!!!! That boy AR TOOOO TOUGH!!” LeBron wrote.

Later in another post, James also threw a subtle jab at Luka for his almost 50-point game in the Lakers’ second game.
