Jain sage Nilesh Chandra Vijay had announced that he would sit on a hunger strike unto death at Azad Maidan on November 1st to protect Jain temples, pigeon houses, and cows. However, the police have denied permission for their protest. It is understood that the permission was denied in the backdrop of a holiday and a planned MNS march. This protest by Jain sages will now take place on November 3. Sage Nilesh Chandra Vijay has warned of a hunger strike until death.
