INDIANAPOLIS — The Colts improved to 7-1 on Sunday — the best record in the NFL — and fans are comparing this team to the one that hoisted the Vince Lombardi Trophy nearly two decades ago.
"Best team in the league. Brings us back to the '06 Colts," said Patrick Shallenberger. "Real fun to watch these guys in action. They're all playing well — energy is really high."
Thousands of euphoric Colts fans left Lucas Oil Stadium and celebrated the win over the Tennessee Titans. A sea of Colts blue walked on the honorary Jim Irsay Street.
"This is for The Boss; this is for The Shoe; this is for the city," said Keith Martin. "It's something magical happening right here in Indiana."
