The Schiele Museum recently unveiled a new “Explorer’s Outpost” interactive exhibit.

Explorer’s Outpost is a place for “nature lovers of all ages” to get an up-close look at plants, animals, and their habitats through hands-on activities and guided exploration, according to a press release from the museum.

What does it include?

It includes a climbing wall modeled after a waterfall, a cabin, a cave, man-made trees, and plant and animal specimens that children and adults can examine.

What themes will be covered?

The museum’s education staff plans to provide guided learning opportunities, which will change every week based on monthly themes. Some themes to expect in the future include nocturnal animals, geology, and arctic ecosystems, the release said.
