It's been a few weeks since Timmins city council hired a security guard to patrol the area near a homeless shelter and encampment.
But there is debate about what should happen moving forward.
When council made that decision in September, there were regulard complaints from people in the south end of Timmins about noise, violence, home invasions and drug use.
It’s something Garnet Wilcox, who moved to the Moneta area about eight years ago, knows well.
Several weeks ago, he and his son were woken up after someone broke five windows and attempted to kick his door in.
