Kangana Ranaut appears before Bathinda court, apologizes to Mahinder Kaur over farmers’ protest remark

Bathinda (Punjab), October 27, 2025: Bollywood actress and Member of Parliament Kangana Ranaut appeared before a Bathinda court today (Monday) in connection with the defamation case filed by Bebe Mahinder Kaur, the elderly farmer whose image Kangana had shared during the 2020–21 farmers’ protest, comparing her to the Shaheen Bagh protester “Dadi.”

Following her appearance, Kangana expressed regret over the controversy, stating that her comments were misunderstood.
