A woman who was reported missing from her Ayrshire home has been found after three days. Dorothy Summers vanished from her home in Whitletts, Ayr at around 9am on Thursday, October 23.
The 62-year-old's disappearance , which was described as "completely out of character," prompted police to issue an urgent public appeal in a bid to trace her.
Dorothy's family said they were "extremely concerned" as it was unusual for the woman "to be away from home and not keep in regular contact with her family ".
There were even worries Dorothy may have travelled around 120 miles away, having previously travelled to Dundee.
However, on Sunday, October 26, three days after word was put out, officials confirmed Dorothy had been traced safe and well.
