PHILADELPHIA — The Giants will not win a single game for the rest of the season if they defend the run as putridly as they did Sunday.

It’s really that simple for this team — and for coach Brian Daboll’s shaky job security.

Because when you give up 276 rushing yards — and an astounding 8.4 per carry — nothing else matters. And that’s exactly what the Giants did Sunday.

Underwhelming coordinator Shane Bowen’s defense responded to its epic fourth-quarter meltdown and choke job in Denver last week by barely showing up in Philadelphia, where the Giants lost 38-20 to the Eagles and fell to 2-6.
