DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Scattered showers and downpours will continue through this morning, all as the coldest air of the season so far approaches later.
A storm system moving across The Gulf states is producing persistent rainfall areawide, with some pockets of downpours this morning across The Wiregrass.
Further to the south, where there is greater instability, severe weather is occurring across The Panhandle. Since our atmosphere is more stable, severe weather is not expected.
Rain chances will begin to taper off gradually by 10 a.m., but skies will remain cloudy to mostly cloudy today. As a result, temperatures will struggle to warm past the lower 70s.
