TV presenter and columnist, Jeremy Clarkson, is known for his controversial opinions, and his latest comment piece wasn’t short of them.
In an article inspired by the woman fined £150 for pouring the last of her coffee down a drain in Richmond, Clarkson, 65, spoke about his views on litterers.
The case of Burcu Yesilyurt prompted a big reaction from the public, many of whom thought the council’s initial reaction was unfair.
While Yesilyurt’s fine was eventually rescinded, Clarkson said in his new column that he hoped that the council enforcement officers were ‘given a slap-up lunch at the best eatery in town’ for their efforts.
