Work to repair a gas leak in a city centre is expected to last “several days”. There continues to be traffic disruption in Peterborough city centre, after a gas leak was reported on Bishops Road on Friday (October 24) .
Multi-way traffic lights are in place at the Bishops Road and Vineyard Road roundabout. Cadent, which is dealing with the works, said repairs are expected to last “several days”.
Dan Sillett, customer operations area manager at Cadent, said: "We have worked through the weekend on this job - it relates to the discovery of a gas leak on a pipe which is under the road. Everything is under control - we have taken actions which ensure everyone is safe and gas is flowing to the local area.
