ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —

Road maintenance began Thursday along the I-25 Frontage Road between Lomas Boulevard and Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue.

Work will run weekdays from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is expected to last five to six working days, with no weekend construction planned.

The southbound frontage road — including the MLK Jr. Avenue off-ramp — was closed on Thursday and Friday.

Northbound lanes will face intermittent closures from Monday through Wednesday along with a northbound off-ramp closure at Lomas Boulevard.

Traffic control will be in place throughout the project, and access to nearby businesses will remain open, though drivers should anticipate detours and brief delays.
