PARMA, Ohio -- With an eye on the quickly approaching holiday season, the Cleveland Metroparks has scheduled a fun and festive program.
“Macramé for the Holidays” takes place from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday (Nov. 1) at the West Creek Reservation’s Watershed Stewardship Center.
“This program focuses on finding creative ways to connect with nature through art.” Cleveland Metroparks Naturalist Mayim Hamblen said.
“Participants are invited to learn about some of the science behind snowflakes while we make nature-inspired macramé decorations using simple knots.”
The event is open for adults and young adults (age 12 and older) who enjoy creating.
The cost is $10 per person and registration by Oct. 31 is required.
The end result will be a candy canes, leaves or snowflakes macramé decora
