INDANAPOLIS, Ind. (WEVV) — Indiana Governor Mike Braun has called for a special session of the Indiana General Assembly to convene on Monday, November 3rd to consider redistricting of Indiana's Congressional districts.
In addition to address altering boundaries for the districts, the General Assembly will address changes to Indiana's tax code to match the new federal tax provisions ahead of 2026 filings.
In the proclamation, Gov. Braun said:
“I am calling a special legislative session to protect Hoosiers from efforts in other states that seek to diminish their voice in Washington and ensure their representation in Congress is fair. I am also asking the legislature to conform Indiana's tax code with new federal tax provisions to ensure stability and certainty for taxpayers and tax prepar
