NEW YORK (WPIX) — The first weekend of early voting is over. Mayoral candidates are racing to seize the last chance to convince voters they are the best choice.
Zohran Mamdani made his case in Queens, with notable progressive supporters joining him on stage at Forest Hills Stadium.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D) and Sen. Bernie Sanders, along with New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, stood in front of a packed house in Queens to show their support for the Democratic nominee in the race for New York City mayor.
Gov. Hochul heard some boos, some chants of "Tax the rich!" and held her hand high alongside Mamdani as the sun set in Forest Hills.
