EBEN JUNCTION — It was homecoming at Superior Central Saturday, but it was Felch North Dickinson which climbed into the driver’s seat early in this regular-season finale.
The Nordics, who completed their regular season at 9-0 overall, scored three times in the first quarter en route to a 56-14 football triumph over the Cougars.
“It’s a wonderful feeling,” Nordics’ coach Mike Christian said. “We’re a very complete team. For us it’s having six guys who don’t have to go both ways. Our depth is pretty good.”
The Cougars (3-6) fumbled the opening kickoff, allowing the Nordics to gain possession on their 27-yard line on this sunny and seasonably cool afternoon.
It took the Nordics less than two minutes to find the end zone on a 14-yard pass from senior Brady Jungwirth to junior Trenton Krame
