A brand new television series drawing inspiration from one of Stephen King's most chilling stories has arrived - and devotees of the horror maestro have been heaping praise upon it. ‌

The opening instalment of IT: Welcome to Derry dropped for UK viewers today (October 27) via Sky and NOW TV, with fresh episodes landing every Monday . ‌

The plot centres around the residents of the fictional town of Derry , which finds itself beset by strange occurrences, numerous calamities and baffling vanishings as time marches on. The debut season's events take place 27 years prior to the 2017 cinema version of the tale, IT Chapter One. ‌
