The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday leveled serious allegations against the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) in West Bengal, accusing the party of manipulating the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls to maintain a so-called 'fake vote bank'.

BJP state president Samik Bhattacharya stated that in several border districts, including North and South 24 Parganas, the TMC has been attempting to add Bangladeshi and Rohingya infiltrators to the voter registry. He alleged that genuine Indian voters were being removed in a bid to bolster the TMC's electoral prospects.
