CLIVE, Iowa – The Iowa Pork Producers Association (IPPA) is set to donate over 9,500 pounds of ground pork to six regional food banks in Iowa and western Nebraska on Tuesday and Wednesday. Organizers say this significant contribution, valued at $20,000, is made possible through funds from the BBQ & Brew at the Ballpark event and the support of Fareway Stores and aims to provide essential protein to thousands of Iowans in need. On Tuesday the River Bend Food Bank in Davenport, the Northeast Iowa Food Bank in Waterloo, and the HACAP Food Reservoir in Hiawatha will receive 1,235, 1,235, and 1,425 pounds of ground pork respectively.
