A beloved rock band formed in 1979 was set to perform the opening show of their tour on Saturday.
Unfortunately, the group was forced to cancel.
Parade reports that Stray Cats — a Massapequa, New York-formed trio behind hits such as “Rock This Town” and “Stray Cat Strut” — were forced to cancel their performance at the Soaring Eagle in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, on Saturday after singer and guitarist Brian Setzer fell ill.
“I’m heartbroken to share, due to serious illness, I am unable to perform and very regrettably have to cancel tonight’s show at Soaring Eagle in Mr. Pleasant, Michigan,” reads a statement from Setzer posted to social media . “I know this affects so many people and I am devastated to have to deliver this news.
