Garfield High School in East Los Angeles has been evacuated, though officials say it's just a precaution.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said law enforcement agencies other than themselves served a search warrant in the 400 block of Vancouver Avenue, which is located near the school.

They later said the warrant was a joint operation involving the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; the Office of the State Fire Marshal and at least one agency from Yolo County.

Representatives for those agencies did not immediately respond to KTLA's request for more information.

"All students and staff are accounted for and transferred to Griffith Junior High School," the Sheriff's Department said in a news alert.
