A cruise ship dealing with a serious norovirus outbreak docked in Boston on Monday morning.

The Oceania Insignia, which had been docked in Portland, Maine , in recent days, arrived in Boston around 8 a.m. Monday.

According to News Center Maine , the ship reported that about 12% of its passengers, or 74 people, had fallen ill during their voyage , which started in Montreal. Under federal rules, ships arriving from foreign ports must alert the Centers for the Diseas Control and Prevention if more than 3% of passengers become sick.
