JOHNSON COUNTY, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — A fatal crash report released by Arkansas State Police reveals new details in the crash in rural Johnson County that left two dead and four injured on Saturday.

ASP said in the report that seven vehicles were involved in the crash; however, just four of them were identified in the report.

The report said that just before 5 p.m., westbound traffic on Interstate 40 was stalled, and one vehicle rear-ended another, causing multiple vehicles to collide.

The two people killed in the crash were not identified in the report, but both were in the same vehicle.

The four injured were taken to hospitals in Clarksville and Russellville.

Conditions were cloudy and rainy at the time of the crash.
