CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Food and Drug Administration is considering approving a new drug for Parkinson's disease that was pioneered by a UVA Health researcher.
Dr. Richard Mailman has been the main driver behind tavapadon, which would be the first new type of medication to treat Parkinson's disease in more than half a century.
