BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) - A Binghamton man will spend the next several years in New York State Prison following his trial in Broome County Court.

District Attorney Paul Battisti announced that Jorge Cortina, 40, was sentenced to eight years in prison, followed by three years of post-release supervision for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree. He was additionally sentenced to three to six years for Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, and 364 days in the Broome County Jail for Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree. The sentences will run concurrently to one another.
