Kristina Chambers, the Houston woman convicted of manslaughter last week for striking and killing a pedestrian with her sports car in 2023, was sentenced to 11 years in prison Monday by a Harris County jury.
Chambers, 34, received a sentence of 11 years, 14 days, according to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. She was found guilty last week in the death of 33-year-old Joseph McMullin, who was on a first date and walking on a Montrose sidewalk when he was struck and killed. The maximum sentence for manslaughter is 20 years.
A wrongful death civil lawsuit McMullin’s family filed against Chambers is still working its way through the legal system, court records show.
