CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Landmarks across Charlotte will be lighting up teal next week to bring awareness to Alzheimer's.
More than 1,500 buildings and landmarks around the world will be participating in the Alzheimer's Foundation of America (AFA)'s 'Light the World in Teal' program. It is the world's largest collective light-up for a single cause.
Teal is AFA's Alzheimer's awareness color.
The annual program, held in November as part of Alzheimer's Awareness Month, aims to shine a literal spotlight on the disease and show support to the millions of people impacted by it. This is the campaign's 12th year.
