MARION, N.C. (WSPA) -- Police officers are searching for a suspect who is accused of shooting a man at a gas station in Marion.
Officials with the Marion Police Department said they were called to CJ's Convenience Store on North Main Street around 10:29 a.m., after a report of a shooting.
According to police, both the victim and suspect had left the scene by the time officers arrived.
Video surveillance helped investigators identify the suspect as 40-year-old Robert Owens and victim as 31-year-old Donovan Wilson.
The two encountered one another in the parking lot and began to argue in what police described as "an ongoing dispute."
During the pair's exchange, officials said Owens pulled out a handgun and started to fire at Wilson, who was attempting to leave the store.
