MARION, N.C. —
Officers are searching for a man wanted in connection with a shooting outside a convenience store in Marion, North Carolina.
Just before 10:30 a.m. Monday, officers with the Marion Police Department responded to a report of a dispute and shooting at CJ’s Convenience Store at 1660 North Main Street.
When officers arrived, they learned the incident had taken place in the parking lot near the gas pumps. Officers were also made aware that the victim, as well as the suspect, had already left the area in separate vehicles.
Through preliminary investigation and surveillance video, the suspect, identified as 40-year-old Robert Owens and the victim, a 31-year-old man, got into an argument outside the store due to an ongoing dispute.
