Cody “Beef” Franke , a fan favorite Barstool Sports personality and golf professional , has died. He was 31 years old.

Franke died following a “sudden medical incident over the weekend,” Barstool wrote in a Facebook post Monday, Oct. 27.

“From his time as a PGA professional to his time at Barstool Sports , Cody made so many people laugh, he made so many people smile, and he simply made so many people better,” the post read.

“Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with Cody’s entire family and loved ones,” the post continued. “We’ll be removing our hats for Cody today and everyday. Rest in peace to the classiest man we knew.”
