COLUMBUS, Ohio —
The sale of THC drinks and intoxicating hemp products can continue for now after a Franklin County judge has extended a temporary block against the emergency ban.
The ban, which was set to take effect Oct. 14 has been blocked by a restraining order as oral arguments are being heard. Advertisement
It comes after Fumee Smoke and Vape, Invicta Nutraceuticals, and Titan Logistics Group filed a civil suit against DeWine and the Ohio Department of Agriculture.
The restraining order issued Oct. 14 was set to expire Tuesday, but has been extended to Dec. 2 as the court process continues to play out.
DeWine first announced the ban earlier this month, aimed at synthetic and intoxicating hemp products that are "simply dangerous."
