A Delta Air Lines flight experienced significant delays on Saturday (October 25) after a flight attendant accidentally deployed the emergency slide at Pittsburgh International Airport. The incident occurred on Delta flight 3248, which was scheduled to depart for Salt Lake City at 5:30 p.m. but was delayed for nearly four hours, finally taking off at 9:21 p.m.

According to USA Today , the slide was inadvertently deployed while the aircraft was at the gate , leading to a costly and time-consuming removal process. The flight attendant, who had a 26-year career without such an incident, apologized to passengers, who were temporarily stuck onboard while engineers detached the slide.

The mishap resulted in passengers being rebooked on later flights, with some staying overnight in Pittsbu
