MURFREESBORO — The UNC Pembroke football team scored in every quarter and logged 487 total yards of offense on the way to a dominating 42-10 victory over Chowan on Saturday evening at Garrison Stadium.
The Braves (7-2, 4-1 CC) improve to 3-2 when playing on the road this year. The setback for the Hawks (2-6, 1-3 CC) have now lost their last four contests and fall to 1-4 when playing at home.
Chowan’s opening drive was stifled by the UNC Pembroke defense, highlighted by Isi Etute’s tackle for loss. Chowan was forced to punt, and on the ensuing possession as UNC Pembroke capitalized with a 52-yard pass from Tre Robinson to JaQuan Albright, setting up a 9-yard touchdown run by Joel Felder at the 12:04 mark.
