NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A criminal trial for a woman accused of starving her son to death began Monday, Oct. 27.

During the trial on Monday, officials began jury selection.

Clarksville woman charged with murder of 13-year-old son

Cheyenne Dawn Maddox is facing several charges, including first-degree murder and aggravated child abuse.

The Clarksville Police Department said Maddox’s 13-year-old son, Kadaris, had cerebral palsy and was confined to a wheelchair.

In July 2022, the Clarksville Police Department found Kadaris dead inside a home. The medical examiner ruled his death a homicide.
