Former Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz is done for the year.
Wentz, now with the Minnesota Vikings, will undergo season-ending surgery on his shoulder, according to a Monday evening report from NFL.com’s Tom Pelissero .
The last we saw of Wentz, the former Eagles quarterback was playing through obvious pain during the Vikings’ loss to the Chargers last Thursday night.
Wentz, 32, started five games for the Vikings in place of injured starter J.J. McCarthy. He completed 65.1% of his passes for 1,216 yards, six touchdowns and five interceptions.
Wentz faced the Eagles on Oct. 19, throwing for 313 yards and two interceptions in a 28-22 loss at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
