BEDFORD – A routine traffic stop quickly escalated into a high-speed incident on State Road 37 Friday night, culminating in the arrest of a Bedford man on felony drunk driving charges.
Keaton R. Mundy, 28, was taken into custody after reportedly driving 76 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone and showing signs of extreme intoxication, according to an affidavit filed by the Indiana State Police.
Mundy faces multiple charges, including operating a vehicle while intoxicated with the felony enhancement due to two previous OWI-related convictions from earlier in 2024 and 2025.
The incident began at approximately 8:08 p.m. on October 24, when ISP Trooper Jesse Crane observed a white 2013 RAM pickup truck, driven by Mundy, speeding and making unsafe lane movements on State Road 37 near River Blu
