A battle of in-state rivals in the postseason begins on Monday night, as FC Cincinnati plays host to the Columbus Crew in Game 1 of their first-round matchup in the Major League Soccer Cup Playoffs.

Once again, Cincinnati played like a team that has the potential of making a deep run in the postseason during the regular season. Thanks to picking up points in each of the club’s final five matches, Cincy finished in the top three in the East for the third year in a row, finishing second in the conference, narrowly missing out on snagging a second Supporters’ Shield in team history.
