INDIANA (WAVE) - When the democratic process rolls around next November, the already red state of Indiana could lose its small bits of blue.
On Monday, Governor Mike Braun called in state lawmakers back to session, with the goal of redrawing the Congressional lines.
The general assembly went through the same process four years ago, and is usually done after a census.
“When these congressional maps were completed and approved by the Republican majority, they said these are the best maps that we could possibly come up with,” State Representative Wendy Dant-Chesser, D-Indiana 71, said. “They have expressed nothing that changes that position. There is no harm being done by these maps the way they are.”
