CARBONDALE — At 8:55 p.m. Oct. 23, Carbondale police officers responded to the 400 block of North Oakland Street for a report of a dog being abused.

Officers learned from a witness that the suspect, Remus R. Williams, 38, of Carbondale struck his dog multiple times with a stick.
