JOPPA — Just a few years removed from the possibility of annexation, the Joppa school district is honoring an alum that has helped the district continue working for the betterment of its students.

Gary Miller, a 1996 Joppa graduate, is credited with several financial contributions to the school in recent years, such as providing for scholarships, building renovation and student support.
