MCEWEN, Tenn. (WSMV) - The U.S. Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board (CSB) has launched an investigation into the deadly explosion at the Accurate Energetic Systems facility.
The CSB will deploy a team to Tennessee that’s set to arrive before the end of October.
The site of the explosion was restricted while under the control of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) as they analyzed the debris field and removed undetonated explosives and other hazardous materials from the site.
The CSB has remained in contact with the ATF and AES, requesting a lot of information and materials from the company.
