BUFFALO, N.Y. — Annemarie Frankfurter of Syracuse, NY will ride out Hurricane Melissa at Sandals Ocho Rios in Jamaica.

"We arrived here on Thursday. We kind of knew the storm was coming, what we thought we would actually, it would come when we left on Tuesday. So we did try to get out of here on Sunday, our flight was canceled, airport's closed," she said.

Frankfurter spoke with WGRZ-TV's Claudine Ewing.

"We are bunkering down in the ballroom. We had our last briefing today at 11 o'clock (Monday morning) and it's definitely coming."

Annmarie as been to Jamaica seven times, but this time it's different.

"I live in Syracuse. The worst is a snowstorm, not this, but I'm trying to stay strong and positive, but a little scared, not gonna lie," she said.
