LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) – A veteran received a tremendous thank you from his community on Monday.

People in Lawrence County, Ohio, spent the day honoring the service of Frank Collins and naming him this year’s Veteran of the Year.

Collins served in the United States Navy from 1968 to 1972.

He said the award means a lot to him and his family, as well as a thank you to other veterans.
