Temperatures continued to warm across New Mexico today with slightly breezy winds in place. Heading overnight, a backdoor cold front will begin to move through eastern New Mexico. This cold front will make its way to the central mountain chain through Tuesday afternoon. Temperatures across eastern parts of the state could be as much as 20 degrees cooler Tuesday afternoon. The cold front will continue to move across the rest of the region heading into Wednesday morning. Temperatures across the region will drop significantly Wednesday morning with Freeze Warnings and Freeze Watches in place for much of central and eastern parts of the state.
